Your Role

As an assistant nurse here, you work with care and support in the residents' daily lives. You help residents with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, meals, laundry, cleaning, and social activities. Through your work, you contribute to creating security, participation, and a good quality of life for each individual.

The duties also include documentation and the creation of implementation plans. Together with colleagues, the unit manager, and nurses, you work in a team to ensure that the residents receive their approved services in the best possible way. You also perform certain health and medical care tasks according to delegation.

We work based on Individual Needs in Focus (IBIC), a person-centered approach within social services that starts from each individual's resources, needs, and goals. IBIC contributes to providing individualized support to people who need help in daily life, regardless of age or disability, in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).

Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts according to a rotating schedule.

Description of the Workplace

Hedbacka is a care and nursing home with a dementia focus, located in the scenic area of Söderala just outside Söderhamn. The facility has 49 beds distributed across seven units.

Each unit has a cozy common room and dining room where residents can eat their meals and socialize in a safe and pleasant environment. For joint activities and celebrations, there is also a larger meeting room where we gather for various events and festivities.

At Hedbacka, we work to create a meaningful, secure, and joyful daily life for our residents. Therefore, we offer activities several times a week, such as music sessions, baking, walks, and joint excursions. The activities are designed based on the residents' interests, wishes, and abilities to promote participation and well-being.

During the summer months, our large and lush garden is a natural meeting place where we enjoy spending time and conducting various outdoor activities.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse and have a genuine interest in working with people, where the resident's needs and wishes are always in focus. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working in elderly care, with people with dementia, or with people with disabilities.

You have good computer skills and are proficient in Swedish in both speech and writing, as the work involves documentation and communication with colleagues, residents, and relatives.

As a person, you are engaged, responsible, and see opportunities in your work. You take initiative, share your knowledge and experiences, and actively contribute to good cooperation and a positive work climate.

You are sensitive, flexible, and able to adapt your working method based on each individual's needs and conditions. You treat people with calmness, respect, and care, and have good pedagogical skills to create security and understanding in interactions with others.

We are looking for you who are service-oriented, meticulous, and take responsibility for your work. You have a professional and respectful attitude and enjoy collaborating while also being able to work independently when needed.
