About the job

In the role of Operational Buyer, you ensure that materials, goods, and services are available at the right time and at the right cost. You are a central contact point between the operations and the suppliers, working to keep flows stable and deliveries precise.

Your responsibilities:

  • Placing purchase orders and ensuring communication with requesters and planners
  • Handling delivery confirmations, discrepancies, returns, and credit notes
  • Monitoring delivery precision and driving dialogue in case of delivery issues
  • Contributing to optimized inventory levels and efficient material flows
  • Working systematically with follow-up, analysis, and improvement initiatives

Location

This role is located at Rock Tools in Sandviken.

About you

You have experience in operational purchasing, order management, supply chain, or logistics and are accustomed to working in business systems and other digital tools. You thrive in a role where structure, follow-up, and coordination are key parts of your daily routine, and you understand how good data quality contributes to efficient processes and well-founded decisions.

We would like you to have:

  • Experience collaborating with suppliers and following up on deliveries, discrepancies, and lead times
  • Good system proficiency and experience working in ERP systems or similar business systems
  • Ability to analyze data and identify improvement opportunities in processes and working methods
  • Experience handling multiple activities in parallel and prioritizing based on operational needs
  • Relevant education
