About the Department

The County Orthopedics Department is a county clinic located in three cities: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik. The department provides both planned and emergency care focused on orthopedic injuries and diseases. This also includes the Orthopedic Technology Department and the Care Hotel at Sundsvall Hospital. The work is characterized by a shared value system where responsibility for the patient, the operation, and each other is central. We utilize our shared resources and work with openness, respect, and professionalism in all interactions. On the Orthopedic Ward, both preoperative and postoperative care is provided for patients with orthopedic injuries and diseases. An important part of the care process is individualized pain management and early mobilization, which are crucial factors for promoting recovery, reducing complications, and creating the best conditions for the patient's rehabilitation. Onboarding will take place within the team with more experienced staff. Internal training will be offered.

We are now looking for 2 assistant nurses on a temporary basis to the orthopedic department in Sundsvall. The positions are full-time, with shifts distributed over days, evenings, and weekends. Start date: 2026-08-31.

Responsibilities
  • Pre- and postoperative care.
  • Work preventively regarding the risk of pressure ulcers, falls, and malnutrition.
  • Standard assistant nurse duties on an acute care ward.
  • Work closely with nurses in the monitoring and care of orthopedic patients.
QualificationsWe are looking for you who
  • Are a trained assistant nurse.
  • Have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
It is an advantage if you
  • Have experience working on a care ward.
  • Have experience in emergency healthcare.
  • Have 1–2 years of professional experience in the field.
