Do you want to work in a meaningful role where you contribute to security, change, and hope for people in vulnerable life situations every day? This might be the job for you.

The Child and Family Unit (BFE) in Borlänge Municipality is now looking for a Senior Social Worker (1st Level) for one of our child and youth groups. Here, we perform qualified social authority work in a practice where collaboration, care, and professionalism go hand in hand.

About the Role and the Unit

As a Senior Social Worker within the Child and Family Unit in Borlänge Municipality, you will help create security and change in the lives of children and young people. Here you will meet a dedicated unit, clear methods, and social work where the child's needs are always at the center.

The Child and Family Unit is part of the Individual and Family Care department and consists of several specialized work groups working together for children, young people, and adults. Each work group is led by one or two Senior Social Workers. In addition, there is a Unit Manager and three Deputy Unit Managers. In one of our three child and youth groups, three social workers work with adults connected to domestic violence.

We value close collaboration within work groups, within the unit (BFE), with other parts of the social services, and with external partners. Our managers are present and accessible, and the leadership is clear. Our core values permeate the entire operation:

On the unit, we always work with the children's needs at the center, and we have implemented the working method Signs of Safety. We believe in meeting the people of Borlänge where they are and helping and guiding the individual to find their own capacity to make lasting changes.

The work is based on existing legislation, guidelines, and knowledge support, and you work based on evidence-based practice. Important to us are secure case processing and very good treatment of individuals.
