As Project Manager for Purchasing, you will combine operational purchasing work with project coordination in a technical environment.

About the role
As Project Manager for Purchasing, you will become an important part of the project organization where you support the main project manager in purchasing-related parts of complex submarine projects. You function as a sub-project manager for purchasing and work closely with the purchasing organization to ensure that activities, schedules, and material supply follow the project's needs.

The role involves planning, coordinating, and following up on purchasing-related activities as well as creating structure between the project organization and the purchasing function. You also work with operational follow-up of, for example, orders, deliveries, and material status to ensure that the project has the right conditions to move forward.

You do not need to be an expert in purchasing from the start, but you need to have an interest in understanding the process and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas. The role suits you who enjoy combining project management and coordination with an operational approach.

Examples of tasks:

• Support the main project manager in purchasing-related parts of the project
• Function as a sub-project manager for purchasing and follow up on activities and schedules
• Coordinate information between the project organization and the purchasing function
• Follow up on orders, deliveries, and material status
• Collect and structure documentation related to purchasing
• Participate in project meetings and report status within the purchasing area

To succeed in the role, you have a post-secondary education in, for example, industrial economics, logistics, economics, project management, or another relevant direction. You have at least one year of relevant work experience in, for example, project management, project coordination, purchasing, logistics, material planning, supply chain, or similar. We would like you to have experience from a technical or manufacturing operation, but the most important thing is that you are driven, communicative, and have a good overview of both details and the whole. You thrive working in a structured manner, creating clarity, and driving activities forward in a project environment.

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in industrial economics, logistics, economics, project management, or similar area
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in, for example, project management, project coordination, purchasing, logistics, material planning, or supply chain
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Ability to undergo and be approved in a security clearance before employment, which may involve requirements for certain citizenship
