Your role

We are looking for social secretaries for the Child and Family Investigation 0-14 years unit. The unit is part of the Child and Family area, which belongs to the Individual and Family Support department. The area works with a family-oriented approach, meaning the entire family system receives a consolidated and coordinated needs assessment. The area is led by a district manager and is divided into four units, each with its own unit manager and mentor:

  • Child and Family Investigation 0-14 years
  • Reception and investigation for youth, family, and disability
  • Family care and placements
  • Family support

As a social secretary at Child and Family Investigation, you work with children and young people aged 0-14 and their parents. The role includes:

  • Being responsible for investigating children's needs for protection and support, analyzing and assessing the need for interventions, and following up on approved interventions based on the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU).
  • Working based on current guidelines and legislation to ensure legally secure authority practice.
  • Being responsible for independently and collaboratively driving and managing all processes in cases.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, other professionals both within the unit and the administration, as well as external providers/operations, for the best interest of the child and family.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone driven by engagement, interest in development issues, quality assurance, and a team-based approach.

A requirement for working with child welfare investigations is that you have a social work degree. For this position, you also need experience in authority practice regarding children and young people, as well as good knowledge of current legislation.

It is meritorious if you have worked based on BBIC and Signs of Safety. It is positive if you also have experience with/knowledge of EARL, SAVRY, MI, iRisk, and FREDA short questions.

We value that you work independently while actively contributing to developing the group's shared competence and work community. As a person, you are unpretentious, curious, responsive, and collaborative, with the ability to remain calm in demanding situations.

Since a large part of the work consists of documentation and administration, you need to have good skills in verbal and written communication as well as computer literacy. You should also have good skills in structuring and planning your work.

Other

We recruit without a personal letter to strengthen the focus on the competencies and experiences required for this role. In assessing your application, we will only rely on your CV and a number of questions you will answer when applying for the position. We request that you answer the questions concretely and concisely and that there is a clear link between your answers and your CV. Referring to your CV in your answers is not sufficient.

Before employment with us can become current, you must provide a recent extract from the police criminal record as well as your social work degree.

The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at considering each person's competence and thereby combating discrimination.
