to apply for the job

MediCarrier is Region Stockholm's central warehouse and logistics company for healthcare transport.

Our mission impacts the daily lives of nearly a quarter of Sweden's population. Every day, year-round, we create the conditions for our colleagues in healthcare to perform their work. By ensuring, for example, that important blood samples are transported for analysis and that products such as test tubes, surgical materials, and protective equipment are always in place, we contribute to Region Stockholm's healthcare. This is a responsibility that is not always visible, but is crucial for healthcare to function safely and securely. Without the right conditions at the right time, healthcare stops.

At MediCarrier, you are part of a socially important mission, right in the middle of healthcare's daily operations.

About the operations

In a time of a rapidly changing external environment, new legislative requirements, national assignments, and a clearer responsibility within civil defense, the demands on healthcare to function during peacetime crises and heightened readiness are increasing.

Changed regulatory requirements regarding the storage of healthcare products require a cohesive and integrated IT environment for supply, enabling transparency, traceability, analysis, and control of supply flows for healthcare. The goal is to create a consolidated, secure, and efficient system environment that supports the entire supply chain – from ordering and inventory management to distribution, follow-up, and analysis – and supports a common logistics design, enables efficient flows and increased automation, and creates conditions for a data-driven operation.

Do you want to help future-proof Region Stockholm's supply?

About the role

As Domain Architect for Supply, you have strategic responsibility for developing the target architecture for the area and ensuring that business capabilities, processes, information, and IT are developed as a cohesive whole. You play a key role in a long-term development program where the goal is to create a cohesive, robust, and future-proof IT environment for Region Stockholm's supply.

You will work cross-functionally across the entire supply chain and contribute to creating a sustainable architecture that supports future development, innovation, and change.

Your main responsibilities

  • Responsible for and developing target architecture and architecture descriptions for the supply domain
  • Lead and coach architecture work within the domain
  • Review and quality-assure solution proposals together with architects within the domain
  • Participate in programs and transformation leadership to introduce new processes, capabilities, platforms, and systems within the domain
  • Ensure that processes, business capabilities, information, and integrations form a long-term and cohesive whole. Integrate the architecture perspective into business development in collaboration with healthcare providers, logistics functions, and other IT functions in the region
  • Monitor trends within the domain, digitalization, and IT in general

Who are you?

The role requires a very good ability to translate business needs and technological development into long-term sustainable solutions and strategies. As a person, you have a strategic and analytical mindset and the ability to communicate, anchor, and create consensus among different stakeholders.

You are good at building good relationships, enjoy collaborating, and are accustomed to leading others through influence rather than formal line management.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

  • An academic degree in IT, engineering, systems science, industrial economics, or something else the employer considers relevant for the role
  • At least five years of experience working in a leading role as an enterprise or domain architect
  • Academic education that the employer considers relevant
  • Good understanding of and long experience with ERP platforms or other business-critical platforms and how they support business processes
  • Experience working with complex operations where processes, information, and IT need to be developed together
  • Good understanding of architecture principles, processes, standards, methods, and frameworks
  • Fluent in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience from larger public sector operations
  • Experience with business-critical platforms within logistics and supply
  • Experience with infrastructure and security architecture, cloud platforms, and information security

Conditions

Permanent employment. Probation period may apply. Full-time position, 39.30 hours/week. Location at both MediCarrier in Spånga and Region Stockholm's office on Kungsholmen. Possibility of remote work based on operational needs.
