An Activity Center in Södertälje is looking for rehabilitation assistants to complete our team. We work on behalf of the Social Psychiatry authorities and the Agency for Support and Advice in Substance Abuse and Addiction. The Activity Center offers arenas for work training, engagement, and social interaction for individuals with mental disabilities, mental health issues, and addiction problems. Our goal is to promote a return to work, studies, and an expanded social network for our participants. The key word for our operations is participation, meaning that it is our participants' needs and wishes that shape the operations in harmony with evidence-based methods that promote recovery. We collaborate with both internal and external partners, such as NSPH Stockholm, RSMH Södertälje-Nykvarn, study associations, and sports clubs, regarding the development of our operations.

Your Responsibilities

You will be part of a team with other rehabilitation assistants working in our operations and leading our activity groups. You also have the role of a resource person for a number of participants, where you meet regularly to write and follow up on the implementation plan based on the participants' wishes and needs. You document your work and report back to the social secretary, who decides on the intervention. You also collaborate with job coaches and employment consultants who are your colleagues, as well as making other contacts required to ensure your participants receive the best possible support in their rehabilitation.

We work with participation in focus, meaning that the participants, together with you as staff, shape our activity groups. We follow up on our work with regular participant surveys and by allowing participants to engage in our participant forums.

Requirements:

• Education as a rehabilitation assistant, social pedagogue, or other relevant education.
• Experience working in social psychiatry and/or substance abuse and addiction.
• Knowledge of recovery-oriented working methods.
• Ability to create safety, trust, and confidence.
• Good teamwork skills as well as a professional and empathetic approach.

Merits:

• Trained in DBT skills training (Dialectical Behavior Therapy).
• Experience supervising both individually and in groups.
• Trained and experienced in low-affective handling.
• Training in ESL, MI, and IBIC.

The position is a fixed-term contract until 2027-08-31.

Here, you will become part of an experienced work group with a breadth of different competencies. You will have opportunities for education and development in your role. We work based on the principle of close leadership, so you have access to both the unit manager and two group leaders who support you in daily work. The current position is located at Nygatan 4.
