We are now looking for an experienced Windows Server Technician for a role in a mission-critical IT environment. This role is suitable for you who have deep technical competence in operations, troubleshooting, and installation in large Windows server environments, and who want to work hands-on in a team with high demands for availability, security, and stability.

About the assignment

You will join a team responsible for the operation and maintenance of Windows server environments and related components. The team works to ensure the availability of approximately 2,000 virtual servers and handles both operational activities, incidents, installations, and technical improvements.

The role requires you to be technically strong, structured, and accustomed to working closely with both other technicians and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Operation and installation of virtual servers and associated infrastructure
• Work with networks, virtual environments, and hardware resources linked to the server platform
• Handle alarms and incidents on the Windows server platform
• Operate and install applications together with application owners
• Work with certificates, including creation, renewal, and troubleshooting
• Work with federation via ADFS, including setup and troubleshooting
• Drive automation and efficiency work using PowerShell

Requirements for the assignment

Essential requirements

• At least 8 years of work experience in troubleshooting operating systems and communication issues in Windows server environments, version 2019 or later
• The experience must relate to direct work in the Windows server environment and not solely system administration
• At least 8 years of work experience with Microsoft Active Directory, ADFS, DNS, and Windows firewall management
• At least 7 years of experience with PowerShell
• Documented work experience in communicating technology in a pedagogical manner to audiences with varying technical competence

Desirable qualifications

• Several years of work experience from a government agency with at least 10,000 employees
