About Us

Malingsbo Tolvsbo Rehabcenter is a small, family-run treatment home located in southern Dalarna. Our main organization is Västanfors Västervåla Parish, a parish within the Church of Sweden. We have been providing addiction care with a good reputation since 2002.

Our target group consists of men and women aged 20 and above. We offer a structured treatment program based on the disease concept. We work from a holistic view of addiction, highlighting its consequences from both biochemical and psychosocial perspectives. Our treatment program is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the 12-step philosophy, which includes regular self-help meetings. At Malingsbo Tolvsbo Rehabcenter, we view addiction as a primary and chronic disease that affects the brain's reward system, and therefore see the consequences as symptoms of the disease.

The team here consists of a Managing Director/CEO, a lead addiction therapist, a CBT therapist, 12-step addiction therapists, treatment assistants, and a housekeeper. We are a small workplace, so it is crucial that you fit in with and complement the existing staff. Therefore, your personality will weigh heavily in the recruitment process.

About You

Our goal is to provide high-quality treatment, which is why it is important that you, as a treatment assistant, have good knowledge of addiction, its progression, and consequences.

The candidate we are looking for must have adequate education, such as a background as a treatment assistant/social pedagogue, nurse assistant with a focus on psychiatry/addiction, or other equivalent education and experience working with this target group. Personal experience with addiction and at least 5 years of sobriety is a merit, but you must have completed your own 12-step treatment, worked through the steps, and actively live the program. We attend 12-step meetings several times a week, so a valid B-driver's license and driving experience are required. We expect good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, as well as experience with documentation.

You need to have good relationship-building skills and a clear, structured approach.

You should be responsible, able to accept people regardless of the situation, and maintain calmness.

You must also be willing to develop your professional role with the help of internal supervision.

About the Position

As a treatment assistant at Malingsbo Tolvsbo Rehabcenter, you are responsible for daily practical work. This includes providing support outside of clinical treatment to individuals undergoing treatment with us, as well as cleaning, cooking, driving, some garden maintenance, etc.

We offer a scheduled full-time position with varied content and working hours. At our center, treatment assistants work with 24-hour shifts and on-call duties with sleeping on-call on a rotating schedule. Ongoing documentation is also part of the job.

About the Recruitment Process

The position will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made.

A 6-month probationary period will apply.
