DUTIES

The family therapists are part of the newly formed unit, First Line Social Services. At the unit, social secretaries in the reception, preventive social secretaries, SSPF coordinators, field workers, family supporters, and family therapists work. The reception at the unit receives orders for Interventions without means-testing (IUB), which you as a family therapist will work with. You collaborate with colleagues in the reception, preventive social secretaries, family supporters, other outpatient staff, and investigators. In collaboration with preventive social secretaries, you work on providing early interventions to children and their families to prevent norm-breaking behavior and school social problems. Family therapists also collaborate with Child Health Services (BVC). Using Signs of Safety as an approach, we help children, young people, and their networks discover and use their own resources for positive development. You will contribute to the development of supportive and treatment interventions for children and young people and their parents/networks. You will mainly work with a focus on children and young people in primary school age and their families, although there are both younger and older children and young people.

The position includes among other things:

• Advice and support talks individually and in groups
• Treatment interventions for children, young people, and guardians
• Leading group activities
• Responsibility for documentation

As a family therapist, you will work together with colleagues or independently. We collaborate with other operations within the Social and Care Administration as well as external actors.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work and who have a good ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. In the position, we also see that you need to have previous experience of psychosocial change work. Good IT skills are also a requirement, as well as a B driving license since you will use a car in the position.

It is meritorious if you have relevant education in treatment methods and motivational interviewing. Furthermore, you have experience of working with evidence-based methods. We would like you to have previous experience and knowledge in Signs of Safety. It is also meritorious if you have experience of working within individual and family care and/or with evidence-based methods.

We are looking for you who are secure and stable as a person and who have good self-insight. You have the ability to shift focus with short notice and rearrange your planning, as situations can change quickly. In treatment work directed at individuals, you usually work alone and therefore you need to be self-reliant and manage your work independently.

We are looking for you who like to collaborate with others and are stimulated by outward-looking and relationship-building work. You have the ability to pay attention to others' viewpoints and give everyone space in the group in a way that benefits the whole. Listening, communicating, and resolving conflict are abilities we value highly, and that you adapt how you communicate in a constructive way depending on the situation and target group. You see and use networks as a natural part of creating and developing relationships with clients as well as in internal and external collaboration. You take responsibility for your tasks, drive the work forward, and have the ability to make your own decisions quickly.
