The Supply Unit North staff will be the engine in building long-term military resilience in the north, and you will have an important role in building a new organization in a daily life characterized by development, establishment, and change.
Supply Unit North
Supply Unit North is a newly established unit within the Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG), responsible for logistics to military bases and units within Military Region North. The unit is in a buildup phase, responsible for establishing a staff in Boden as well as warehouse operations at several locations in Norrland. The operations are characterized by growth, gradually increasing deliveries, and the need to develop functioning structures, collaboration, and working methods over time. The staff is planned to consist of both military and civilian personnel with broad competence. The staff supports the Commander of Supply Unit North by creating decision support materials, ensuring that decisions are translated into practical action, and by planning, coordinating, and monitoring operations.
Main Responsibilities
As a Logistics Officer at the Implementation Section, you are responsible for preparing, coordinating, and monitoring logistics issues to support operations. You provide qualified support to leadership and translate operational needs into practical implementation within the logistics area.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Preparing, coordinating, and monitoring logistics matters with a focus on warehousing, material turnover, and deliveries to assigned units.
- Planning and coordinating the need for protective and security measures related to logistics operations.
- Developing decision support materials, conducting logistics preparations, and monitoring decisions made within the area of responsibility.
- Being responsible for work with requirement setting and war-time placement, as well as coordinating and developing processes related to the wartime organization.
- Serving as a liaison officer to assigned units on logistics matters. The role includes coordinating needs and developing cooperation within the supply area.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Specialist Officer, minimum rank SO7.
- Documented experience in working with requirement setting and war-time placement of material.
- Driver's License B (manual transmission).

You have the ability to prioritize when conditions change, enjoy handling multiple parallel tasks, and can make well-founded decisions even under time pressure. You express yourself well in speech and writing and have a professional approach in your work.

Merits
- Documented experience in staff work at battalion, brigade, tactical, or operational staff level.
- Documented experience in supply, transport, or maintenance service and/or logistics command during exercises or operations.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' support systems, such as PRIO, LIFT, IOR, and LOGFAS.
- Experience from international service.
