We are looking for new colleagues! Are you a nurse assistant looking for a new career opportunity? With us, you will have the opportunity to develop, plan, and lead activities for residents at Stångågårdens elderly care home.
Your responsibilities
The purpose of the Activity Coordinator role is to counteract loneliness and motivate residents in special housing to engage in more activity, community, and joy. The role also includes performing planned care tasks, as the position partly involves nursing work. Currently, 4 activity coordinators work at our special housing facilities in Kisa, Rimforsa, and Horn.
Your responsibilities include:
- Planning activities based on residents' wishes and needs.
- Creating weekly activity schedules.
- Conducting activities daily, both individually and in groups.
- Calling for and participating in monthly resident councils. Listening to feedback and wishes regarding activities.
- Participating in activity meetings with other activity coordinators to plan and book joint holidays, music arrangements, and activities.
- Managing social media such as Facebook and Instagram: Responsible for updating current information and posting photos.
- Working together with the activity coordinator and other activity coordinators to establish contacts and develop good collaborations with local organizations, schools, municipalities, volunteers, and other operations in Kinda Municipality.
- Responsible for purchasing materials for activities and adhering to the allocated budget.
- Monitoring the external environment and following societal developments.

Working as an Activity Coordinator is a creative job that requires you to work with your whole heart. As a person, you are initiative-taking and creative with many ideas. You are positive and eager to try new things. You are social, receptive, and have a good manner of dealing with people. You have good knowledge of the healthcare and care professions and experience in nursing work. It is important that you can meet individuals where they are and can handle difficult conversations with residents and their relatives. The job requires good communication skills and the ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
As a person, you are responsible and accustomed to working independently. You are good at planning, working structured, and can switch between tasks. Furthermore, we see that you are a person who is secure and stable and has good collaboration skills. You enjoy building relationships and creating conditions for collaboration. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
Qualifications
You have a nurse assistant education or other relevant education.
You have previously worked with residents in elderly care from a health-promoting approach.
You have experience in planning and leading activities.
You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech/writing and good computer skills.
You have a B-driver's license with access to your own car.
You are comfortable using social media.
Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled earlier. Start date by agreement. Apply today!
