About Us

The psychiatric clinic in Strängnäs is a psychiatric outpatient specialist clinic for the population of Strängnäs Municipality. We are part of the psychiatric department at Mälarsjukhuset, and the clinic is located approximately 10 minutes from Strängnäs Travel Centre.

Approximately 28 dedicated employees work at the clinic – doctors, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, care assistants, counselors, and secretaries. The clinic serves a broad target group; we treat ADHD, affective disorders and anxiety disorders, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, psychosis, trauma, substance abuse, and eating disorders. The clinic is characterized by broad competence, a good work environment, flexibility, close teamwork, and opportunities to actively participate in development work.

Your Responsibilities

• Treatment, support, and crisis counseling, individual, couple, or family.
• Psychosocial assessment and mapping.
• Psychosocial support for patients and relatives.
• Keeping up-to-date and informed about societal resources and participating in various collaboration forums.
• Collaboration with other staff categories to contribute a holistic perspective on the patient's life situation.
• Complementing medical care with psychosocial knowledge from a holistic view.
• Having a special focus on children as relatives and their needs.
• Participating in the planning and implementation of various group activities.
• Coordinating function and participation in SIP (Individualized Coordinated Plan).
• Administrative tasks related to patient care.
• Having a coordinating function, acting as a link between healthcare and the surrounding community, and conveying information about social legislation and various forms of social support.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have a degree in Social Work (Socionom) and are a licensed health and social care counselor.
• Have experience working with psychiatric care, social vulnerability, or equivalent.
• Preferably have basic psychotherapy training.
• Are flexible, secure, structured, and responsible.
• Have good collaboration skills and appreciate teamwork.
• Are curious, non-hierarchical, and see value in different perspectives.
• Are inspired by change work and development.
• Have good communication skills and can inspire and spread competence.
