We are Ostbutiken Odengatan.
We are a small, specialized shop on Odengatan 33 – an address that has housed a dairy and cheese shop for nearly 100 years – and we have one goal: to become Europe's best delicatessen. We make this promise to our producers, our customers, and to each other, every day we open our doors. We import our goods directly from small, dedicated producers, people who put their whole heart into their raw materials. We take this responsibility seriously when we meet our customers. Here, we choose the history of the ingredient over market convenience, and we choose personal relationships over anonymous scale. About the role
This role is perfect for you if you are a trained chef with a passion for the cold kitchen, or if you have worked your way through a café business and feel ready to take the next step towards greater responsibility.
You are responsible for serving – salads, sandwiches, and simple hot dishes. You work in a team with a colleague, and you share responsibility for ensuring your station runs smoothly from morning until evening, as well as for preparing catering that is sent out from the kitchen. This is a role that we see taking shape this autumn – but we want you to come in and trial work now, get to know the environment, and create a clear picture of what is expected of you.
What you will do here
- Manage in-store service: salads, sandwiches, and simple hot dishes upon request.
- Work together with a colleague and share responsibility for the smooth operation of your section.
- Prepare and dispatch catering from the kitchen.
- Seamlessly switch between opening the shop during the day and closing it in the evening.
About you
- Have a few years of experience from a café or kitchen and feel it is time to take the next step.
- Are curious about flavor combinations, seasons, and the origin of ingredients.
- Are self-motivated, structured, and enjoy taking responsibility for the whole picture.
- Like variety and thrive working at a high pace with clear expectations.
Practical details
- Rotating schedule.
- The position starts in autumn, but trial work is welcome now.
- We are looking for both full-time and part-time employees.
- We follow collective agreements.
