Our department maintains our streets and roads, water and sewage systems, and the waste that the municipality is responsible for.

About the position

As a Drift Technician, you will have a varied job with a wide scope. You will work at our various facilities in the municipality and gain a holistic view of the operations.

The tasks may include, among other things:

  • collecting water samples and monitoring water quality
  • operating and maintaining water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants
  • participating in excavation work and pipe maintenance
  • working at the recycling center
  • thawing drums and maintaining the municipality's streets and roads

The work is practical, varied, and gives you the opportunity to develop skills in several technical areas.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, you need to have:

  • a technical education in operations, preferably with a focus on water or environmental technology
  • a Category B driver's license

Practical experience in the operation and maintenance of water treatment plants or wastewater treatment plants is an advantage. Experience in welding, machine operation, as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical disruptions, is also a benefit.

Advantageous qualifications

It is a plus if you also have:

  • certification as a Drift Technician
  • Category BE or C driver's license
