Starting October 1, 2026, Falck will also provide ambulance care for Region Skåne. The role of Assistant Nurse at Falck, within non-emergency patient transport and transport of deceased persons, involves:

• On behalf of Region Östergötland, performing transport of patients who, for medical reasons, cannot be transported in any other way than supine and who do not have care needs during transport. The coverage area is all of Östergötland, which also includes the transport of deceased persons.
• A significant part of your time will be spent communicating with customers from various residential facilities or care wards, as well as with private individuals. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy customer contact.
• Information and communication management in various data systems in our dispatch center, which also includes Falck's Ambulance Duty Service. Here, we direct our transports and receive the orders.

Qualifications:

• Trained Assistant Nurse. Upon employment, you must be able to provide proof of protected title.
• One year of work experience as an assistant nurse or ambulance care worker.
• B-driver's license with good driving skills and the ability to navigate in Östergötland.
• Good physical fitness, as the work may involve heavy lifting.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Other

Permanent full-time position with a 6-month probation period. Location in Norrköping with driving assignments throughout Östergötland.

The operation runs 24/7, which means a schedule covering weekdays and weekends with day, evening, and night shifts.

The recruitment process includes, in addition to interviews and reference checks, a police background check, and the requirement to present a valid B-driver's license. We also conduct a driving test with our vehicles to assess your ability to maneuver a vehicle, as well as a minor physical fitness test.
