RESPONSIBILITIES

Does hearing the words 'nurse aide' and 'administrator' in the same sentence bring a smile to your face? Does your heart beat a little faster for our elderly citizens? Do you thrive on adapting support and care based on each care recipient's unique needs, wishes, and conditions? If you answer yes to these questions, you might be the person we are looking for!

Our nursing home, Skedvigården, is establishing a new combined position, offering the opportunity to work 50% as a Nurse Aide and 50% in an administrative role.

In the role of nurse aide, you meet the individual physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of our care recipients. You assist with personal hygiene, mobility, meals, dressing and undressing, as well as end-of-life care. You also perform medical tasks delegated by the nurse. The responsibilities mean you are our "eyes and ears" on site, observing small changes in our elderly residents' well-being and reporting these to relevant colleagues. You document your work continuously during shifts and contribute to improving the quality of the home by reporting deviations related to care recipients. Additionally, you serve as the primary care contact for at least one care recipient. This means you take greater personal responsibility for their care and work to ensure their needs and wishes are met according to their assistance decisions. You work motivationally to increase the care recipient's quality of life and access to daily stimulation, such as activation activities, daily outdoor time, and social interaction.

As administrative staff, you are the hub of the nursing home, ensuring we have the right personnel in the right place at the right time. You ensure work quality, document continuously, handle purchases, and account for invoices. You also manage the introduction of all newly hired employees.

All tasks are performed in close collaboration with management, colleagues, care recipients, and visitors. Your direct supervisor is the unit manager of the nursing home.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this position, you must have a nurse aide education and a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) verifying this. Previous practical experience in nursing care and dementia care for the elderly is advantageous. You must be able to handle digital work tools such as computers and mobile phones, as all work is conducted through these systems. Experience with the documentation system Combine (Pulsen), the time reporting system Medvind, as well as Teams and Outlook, is advantageous. Your Swedish language skills must be good to communicate effectively with your surroundings, understand written text, and document your work.

Working hours vary throughout the day and all days of the week, so a valid driver's license (Category B) and access to a personal car are required.

You should enjoy working with people and have the ability to create and maintain good relationships. You must also be excellent at documenting and reporting your work continuously. Delivering results and meeting the expectations of your care recipients is a given for you – both regarding quality and productivity. You never compromise on your professionalism and work in a systematic, methodical, and reliable manner. You easily identify the needs of our care recipients and achieve good work results. You follow instructions and decisions, while remaining flexible and open to changed conditions if the situation requires it.

Employment type: Permanent position.

Working hours vary during the waking hours of the day, all days of the week.

Individual salary setting applies. The current salary range for our nurse aides and administrative staff is approximately 27,000–33,000 SEK, depending on competence, professional experience, and the level of responsibility in the position.

The recruitment process is handled by the staffing unit of the social sector, but final candidates are interviewed by the responsible unit manager.

We conduct ongoing selections, so do not wait to apply for the position!
