Primary Care Centre Östergötland consists of 33 region-run primary care centres, Vårdcentrum Finspång, the Child Health Centre unit, evening and weekend 1177 and emergency centres, and the General Medicine Education Centre. Region Östergötland’s Specialty Training (ST) in General Medicine is organized by the General Medicine Education Centre (AMC), where study directors and education secretaries coordinate side studies, arrange courses and training, and participate in shaping the ST doctor's education plan. Job Description
As an ST doctor, you work with your own patient list. You see patients of all ages at your own clinic or our emergency clinic. During your time at the primary care centre, you will, for a period, be responsible for special housing and work at the Child Health Centre (BVC). You will supervise students and carry out development and R&D work. You primarily work weekdays and during daytime hours, but further into your ST training, you will work on-call shifts during evenings, weekends, and nights.
Work Group
Vårdcentralen Boxholm is a smaller primary care centre in a rural area with approximately 4,800 registered patients and a staff of approximately 23 employees. At the primary care centre, we create security for citizens by making healthcare accessible nearby. Our goal is to be available and meet citizens with a person-centered approach and high competence. We work together in teams with the patient as a co-creator. Here we offer varied and stimulating work in a workplace with a good atmosphere, strong team spirit, where we help each other with the patient as a co-creator. The primary care centre handles a wide variety of medical issues, from acute patients to elderly care and BVC, based on a person-centered approach. At the primary care centre, there are district doctors, specialist doctors, an ongoing ST doctor, district nurses, nurses, assistant nurses, a counselor, and healthcare administrators.
About You
You are a licensed physician holding a medical license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen), as well as Swedish language skills equivalent to documented level C1, as you need to communicate unimpededly with patients, relatives, and colleagues. If you have not completed Internship (AT) or have not passed Basic Competence (BT) according to BT, there is an opportunity to complete BT during the first year of employment.
You have good cooperation skills and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You have good judgment and communicate clearly. We want you to be unpretentious and enjoy working in teams. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
For this position, we are looking for someone who is flexible. Being flexible with us means being able to adapt to the current situation and change focus, which is crucial as unpredictable events occur daily.
