Do you have experience in welding, turning, milling, and assembly, and thrive in a role where you work on the entire process from component to finished machine? Then this might be the job for you! At our company, you will become part of an engaged team where you take great responsibility and contribute your own ideas.
About the role
As a workshop technician, you will have a broad and varied role where you follow the product through the entire manufacturing process, from machining components to the fully assembled machine. You will work with welding, turning, milling, and assembly, becoming a key part of ensuring high quality and efficient deliveries. The role also involves close collaboration with the design department, where you will work together to find practical solutions, develop products, and ensure that designs function well in production.
The role combines varied tasks with recurring production activities. During some periods, you will work on series production of components, while others involve greater variation and assembly of complete machines. To thrive in this role, you appreciate both repetitive work and the opportunity to switch between different tasks when the business requires it.
At our company, we work closely together and help each other across areas of responsibility. We value initiative and are looking for someone who wants to contribute to continuous improvements, while also understanding the importance of quality, structure, and delivery precision.
The position is full-time and permanent, located at our facility in Karlstad.
Start date according to agreement.
In this role, you will primarily work with:
- MIG/MAG welding
- Turning and milling

- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including welding drawings
- Measurement, control, and working with tolerances
- Contributing to improvements and efficiency in working methods and production
- Supporting colleagues in other parts of the business as needed
About you
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and a drive to learn new things. You are curious, see opportunities for improvement, and are happy to contribute ideas that develop both working methods and the business. You take responsibility for your work, work independently when needed, and thrive in a varied daily routine where tasks and priorities may change.
As a person, you are unpretentious and appreciate collaborating with others to achieve common goals. You are solution-oriented, able to prioritize when conditions change, and are motivated by delivering high-quality work. For you, attention to detail and professional pride are a natural part of your daily work.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in workshop work or machine building
- Experience with MIG/MAG welding
- Experience with turning
- Good proficiency in reading engineering drawings
- Knowledge of measurement technology and tolerances
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
- Fluent Swedish, both spoken and written
It is an advantage if you also have:
- Milling experience
- TIG or stick welding experience
- Assembly of machines or mechanical systems
- Forklift license B1 (counterbalance truck)
- Robot welding or interest in automated production
- Experience working in smaller workshop or manufacturing companies where the role was broad
What we offer:
- A long-term and varied role with significant influence, working broadly with technology, development, and improvement
- Close collaboration with engaged colleagues in a technology-intensive company where every role makes a difference
- A family-like workplace with short decision-making paths, open dialogue, and a culture characterized by respect, warmth, and joy in work
