Department 7 is a general surgical department, which means we care for patients with many different surgical diagnoses across various ages. We also work with palliative care in close collaboration with the Palliative Consult Team in Karlskoga.

In the role of assistant nurse (undersköterska), you are responsible for basic nursing care but also perform many specific nursing tasks, such as checking vital parameters, neurological checks, catheterization, sample collection, and wound and stoma care. We work in teams with assistant nurses and nurses, together with doctors and rehabilitation professionals. Great focus is placed on quality and patient safety, where you have significant personal responsibility for your work.

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse and as a person are interested in and have a willingness to learn new things. Experience from inpatient care is meritorious but absolutely not a requirement.

Personal qualities that we value highly are that you collaborate well with others and have the ability to listen, communicate, and solve problems in a constructive way. Taking responsibility for your tasks, structuring your work together with the team, and easily adapting to changed circumstances are of great importance. We value personal suitability highly.
