About the Job

As a strategic buyer with us, you will have a central and independent role with significant personal responsibility. You are part of the company's logistics department and report to our Logistics Manager. The team also includes two operational buyers. The main focus of the role is on strategic purchasing, but you will also participate in the daily purchasing flow together with your colleagues – something that gives you good insight into the business and proximity to the needs that drive long-term work.

You work closely with other functions in the company, such as production, project management, quality, and finance. In this role, you become a key link between our suppliers and the company's needs, contributing to close collaboration throughout the value chain.

The role is long-term in nature: you work with a horizon beyond the next delivery and build the supplier relationships and contracts that support our growth over time. At the same time, we operate in industries undergoing rapid change, which requires the ability to adapt strategy and working methods to new conditions.

Main Responsibilities

• Initiate, develop, and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers
• Identify and drive development and efficiency projects within the supplier base
• Negotiate and draft agreements with suppliers
• Work strategically and long-term with supply strategies, supplier selection, and risk management
• Analyze markets, prices, and trends to secure competitive and sustainable purchasing
• Collaborate closely with other company functions to ensure purchasing activities support business goals and growth

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in strategic purchasing who enjoys taking responsibility and driving their work forward independently. You work methodically, with long-term goal orientation and perseverance. You don't let a question go until it's resolved! At the same time, you are unpretentious, receptive, and have very good communication skills, both internally and in contact with suppliers.

We see that you have:

• A few years of experience in strategic purchasing
• Very good communication skills in speech and writing, in Swedish and English
• Good negotiation skills and experience with contract work
• A structured and analytical approach to work

It is an advantage if you have:

• Background in the manufacturing industry
• Experience with the Monitor ERP business system, or alternatively experience with several different business systems
• Experience from the defense or energy industry
• Relevant post-secondary education in purchasing, logistics, technology, or economics
