We are a specialized clinic focusing on hematological diseases. Here, hematological outpatient care and day care are provided. Currently, the day care is conducted in collaboration with the Oncology department, but is planned to transition to the new Medical Day Care unit in 2028. At the Hematology Clinic, three experienced nurses work alongside doctors, social workers, and dietitians in interprofessional teams to offer patients the best possible care and nursing. We investigate and treat both benign and malignant hematological diseases.

Hematological care is developing rapidly towards more individualized precision medicine treatments, and the development of immunotherapies has been crucial for treating hard-to-treat forms of blood cancer.

Many patients are followed over time, and both they and their relatives need extensive support and information. As a nurse with us, you have the opportunity to make a big difference every day. Our operations play a crucial role for patients with hematological diseases.

Our goal is to make their care journey smooth by offering the right support at the right time.

We are now looking for a nurse for the Hematology Clinic.

Your responsibilities

Your duties include outpatient work, including scheduled patient visits, medication treatments, follow-ups, and telephone advice via Tele Q. You will also work with administrative tasks such as booking visits, coordinating, and planning investigations. You will participate in doctor's consultations and assist with various examinations and sample collections.

The clinic's assignment also includes being a contact nurse for patients with malignant hematological diseases. As a contact nurse, you are the patient's fixed contact person who provides security and continuity throughout the care process, and coordinates the flow of care and ensures active handovers between different healthcare providers and units.

At the day care, you are part of a team that provides planned treatments. Here you will have a varied job with lots of patient contact and advanced medical care and treatment.

We offer an interesting, developing, and educational job where you will alternate between hematological outpatient activities and day care.

You will gradually be introduced to the different tasks, and the introduction will be tailored to your previous competence and experience.

Who are you?

You are a nurse who is curious about hematology and thinks this seems like an interesting and exciting assignment. We see that personal maturity, self-awareness, reflectivity, empathy, and responsibility are important personal prerequisites for the assignment. Collaborating closely with colleagues, being receptive, and being part of a whole are important to you, while you also find it easy to lead yourself.

You are calm and stable and handle stressful or pressured situations in a controlled manner. We would like you to be attentive and accommodating in your interactions. You have the ability, willingness, and interest to help others. You have good judgment when it comes to weighing together complex information, making correct assessments and prioritizations, as well as in acting and interacting with patients and colleagues. A key part of the job is support and information to patients and relatives. You need to have knowledge, understanding, and the ability to adapt your way of communicating to the person you are facing.
