The Security and Preparedness Department is looking for an engaged and driven Preparedness Coordinator who wants to contribute to developing our important work in civil preparedness. Your workplace

The Preparedness Unit's mission is to support all of Region Värmland's operations within the area of civil preparedness (crisis preparedness and civil defense). Some of our areas of responsibility include risk and vulnerability analyses, continuity management, and the region's crisis management organization. The unit is also responsible for the region's "Tjänsteman i beredskap" (TiB) function.

The unit is organized within the Security and Preparedness Department, which, in addition to civil preparedness, is also responsible for the region's security protection, general safety, e-service cards, and passage administration.

The department is also responsible for the region's work against welfare crime and coordinates and manages several of Region Värmland's property and liability insurance policies. The department has approximately 30 employees, of whom eight currently work within the preparedness area.

Work on crisis preparedness and civil defense is a prioritized area for Region Värmland where rapid development is taking place, something you as an employee will have the chance to be a part of. Your responsibilities

Together with your colleagues, you should be able to act as an advisor and provide methodological support within the region's work on civil preparedness. The assignment includes developing and managing continuity management and disaster medicine, as well as planning and conducting training and exercises within the area of civil preparedness.

The area of civil preparedness touches upon all assignments in Region Värmland. However, there is a slightly greater focus on the region's work and responsibility within healthcare, as it is the region's most significant societal-critical area of operation. Therefore, we require that you are a registered nurse in this position. As a Preparedness Coordinator, you may also be part of the staff function.

The tasks are varied and involve both analytical and investigative duties as well as coordinating processes and activities. As a Preparedness Coordinator, you achieve goals and results largely through collaboration with others, both internally within Region Värmland and in external collaboration forums. You will work together with the department's other security and preparedness coordinators, and the position requires active participation in the development of the department's operations.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with an interest in working in the area of civil preparedness. We would appreciate it if you have experience in planning and conducting knowledge-raising activities such as training and exercises. It is important that you feel confident in giving lectures, workshops, and leading meetings.

To succeed in this role, you need to have the ability to switch perspectives between a general level and practical implementation. We are looking for you who have good communication skills, are a team player, and have a strong security awareness. We value if you are independent, proactive, structured, result-oriented, and possess a very good ability to collaborate.

The work may involve travel, so possession of a Category B driver's license is a requirement. The position is security-classified, which implies a security check with register control according to the Security Protection Act. The employment requires Swedish citizenship.
