About the job
As a Process Engineer within heat treatment, you strengthen the competence in the area and take clear process ownership. The focus is on ensuring stable, safe, and efficient processes as well as driving development and improvement over time. You work proactively and development-oriented, with less focus on operational daily work.
Your responsibilities
- Drive root cause analyses for complex problems
- Work data-driven and structured with follow-up and improvement
- Initiate and lead improvement and development initiatives
- Ensure process stability, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Manage and reduce risks associated with processes and gases
- Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, quality, and R&D
Location
The position is located in Sandviken within Rock Tools and is performed on-site.
Your profile
You have a strong technical foundation and thrive in roles where you can combine analysis, improvement work, and collaboration. With a structured approach, you tackle complex challenges and drive development with a long-term perspective.
Your background includes:
- A Master of Science degree or equivalent in Materials Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Production Technology – or relevant experience
- Strong process understanding within heat treatment
- Experience with data-driven working methods
- Experience in complex problem solving and root cause analyses
- Several years of experience in production technology, process development, or technical projects
- Experience with SAP, Teamcenter, or cross-functional work is an advantage
You are proactive and take initiative, while working analytically and structured even in complex situations. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you communicate technical issues clearly, creating understanding and engagement. With your influence skills, you bring others along and actively contribute to knowledge sharing and business development.
