About the Role

As a Technical Specialist, you will have a central role in supporting, developing, and optimizing our asphalt plants within Asfalt Nord. You will work in close collaboration with our other technical specialists, site managers, and the production organization, serving as a vital technical support resource in both daily operations and long-term development projects.

The work is varied and combines operational support with strategic improvement efforts. You will lead and participate in projects related to investments, renovations, and production development, while also contributing to the development of our technical processes and working methods.

Your main responsibilities include:

• providing technical support to our asphalt plants regarding production, operations, and equipment
• identifying opportunities for improvement and driving development initiatives
• participating in investment projects and renovations
• developing systematic maintenance, planning, and technical processes
• supporting site managers in technical and administrative matters
• collaborating with suppliers and internal functions on technical issues
• contributing to the selection and development of technical equipment
• working towards safe, cost-efficient, and sustainable production, including asphalt recycling.

The primary location is Umeå, Sundsvall, or Gävle. The role involves travel throughout the entire geographical area of Asfalt Nord, from Gästrikland and Dalarna up to Norrbotten.

A valid B-driver's license is required.

About You

We are looking for you who have a strong technical interest and thrive in a role where analysis, structure, and practical improvement work go hand in hand. You have a relevant higher education or university degree in fields such as mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.

If you have previously worked in the process or production industry, we see this as a major advantage. Experience in project management, investments, maintenance, or operational optimization is meritorious, as is knowledge of asphalt plants or similar process facilities.
