Your Assignment

As a case officer with a focus on NATO and total defense, you will work with the agency's overarching NATO issues as well as preparedness planning at the agency level across the entire threat spectrum.

In the role of case officer, your main tasks will be to independently and together with others, plan, implement, and follow up on agency-wide matters, primarily in the form of:

• Overarching work with NATO-related issues. This includes coordination, follow-up, and analysis of agency-wide NATO matters. You are responsible for ensuring that the agency-wide perspective is monitored when preparing various NATO issues and supporting the agency management's goal and strategy work.
• Preparedness planning. This involves contributing with analyses, development activities, coordination, and follow-up of the agency's work in the area.

The work also includes leading and participating in internal forums and, where applicable, representing the agency in external forums. Organizationally, you will belong to the unit DG's Staff within Management Support.

Travel within the country may occur in the position.

We are looking for you who have:

• Relevant academic education, other equivalent education, or corresponding practical experience from working life
• Experience of preparation, analysis, and strategic work
• Experience of conducting development projects
• Experience of coordinating NATO-related matters
• Very good knowledge of and understanding of NATO and its various doctrines
• Good knowledge of the Office package
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

We consider it meritorious if you have:

• Education in the NATO area
• Knowledge of security policy, defense policy, or intelligence services
• Experience of working with preparedness planning
• Experience of total defense work
• Experience of working within the defense or security sector
• Experience of handling remiss (consultation responses) and statements

More Information

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, approx. 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security classification. A requirement for employment is a passed security clearance with register check. The security clearance will be conducted in accordance with provisions in the Security Protection Act.
