About the Role
In this position, you will be employed by Elajo Mekanik, Industry Division, where we focus on industrial customers. You will primarily work with customers in Karlskrona, but we highly value if you have the opportunity to travel for work to be involved in projects with more of our customers, primarily in southern Sweden.
In the role of traveling welder, you will be out at our industrial customers' sites throughout Sweden, working on advanced assembly tasks, primarily in workshop environments. The work suits you if you enjoy working both independently and in teams, and appreciate the variety of traveling to different projects and customer facilities. You will be an important part of our mechanics department and work with both new installations, maintenance, and repairs of industrial components.

The work involves independence but also the ability to collaborate with colleagues and customers, as well as making your own decisions.
Your Responsibilities
- Industrial manufacturing, assembly, installation, and maintenance
- Manual welding of primarily black steel, but also Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum using various techniques (MIG/MAG, TIG, MMA)
- Burning/cutting, Carbon arc gouging
- Quality control and documentation of completed work
- Collaboration with customers, colleagues, and management to ensure the highest quality
- Travel to various customer facilities, primarily in southern Sweden.
Qualifications
- Vocational training in welding or equivalent technical education
- Competence to perform independent welding work in TIG or tubular electrode
- Current welding certificates are highly meritorious
- Experience from working as a welder in shipbuilding, workshops, manufacturing, and process industry
- Good knowledge of reading drawings and technical documentation
- Good material knowledge
- Category B driver's license is required
- You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written
We also consider it meritorious if you have valid certificates/certifications in:
- Hot work
- Crane and forklift licenses
- Mobile work platforms
- Fall protection training
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
This position will involve undergoing a security clearance based on current regulations regarding security protection. The security clearance includes an extract from the criminal record, background check, security clearance interview, and that you will be subject to register checks by the Swedish Security Service during the assignment.
To be considered for employment, the security clearance must be approved.
