Do you want to work with the safe and sustainable handling of chemical products and hazardous waste? At Stena Recycling, you will play a central role in ensuring that chemicals are handled in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. About the role

In this role, you will work with the reception and handling of hazardous waste, becoming an important part of ensuring that materials are received, checked, and handled correctly. The work is practical and varied, involving both customer contact and daily operations.

You are responsible for receiving incoming goods, checking contents and documentation, and ensuring that the waste is handled and stored safely and correctly.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Performing reception checks of incoming hazardous waste
  • Weighing, registering, and sorting goods
  • Identifying and distinguishing between different types of waste and chemical products
  • Labeling, re-packaging, and ensuring correct handling before further transport
  • Using simple aids such as pH paper to check if substances are acidic or basic
  • Ensuring that handling, packaging, and transport comply with current legislation, including ADR
  • Providing simple guidance to customers regarding the correct handling of hazardous waste

The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues in the reception area and involves both internal and external contacts. The role is varied and is performed both indoors and outdoors, and some tasks may be physically demanding.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have an interest in practical work and the safe handling of hazardous waste. You are meticulous, responsible, and have a clear safety mindset. You thrive in a role where you get to work in a structured and independent manner while being part of a team.

You have a good ability to observe, make simple assessments, and see differences between different types of materials. You are solution-oriented and flexible, and find it easy to collaborate with both colleagues and customers.

Requirements:

  • Category B driver's license

Merits:

  • Category C driver's license

  • Forklift license

Location: Örebro, Tippvägen 1

The position is a consultancy assignment, and you will be employed by us at OnePartnerGroup and then hired out to Stena Recycling with the possibility of permanent placement.
