As a testing engineer, you inspect objects and pressurized equipment at customer sites using methods such as X-ray and ultrasound. By inspecting things we cannot see with the naked eye, you can contribute to a safer society!

About the role:

In the role of testing engineer, you are either out at customer sites performing the work or taking samples to analyze the material in one of Kiwa's laboratories. You work with recurring control or preventive maintenance to measure the status and health of objects and their critical components and equipment. The work includes performing, for example, visual inspections, ultrasonic testing, X-ray testing, and leak testing. By using these various testing methods, we can test and inspect objects for things we cannot see with the naked eye and help the customer localize damage at an early stage to prevent potential costly failures. During a work week, you will come into contact with a variety of different objects such as pressure vessels, tanks, pipelines, and turbines.

For this role, we see that you already hold the authorizations as a testing engineer. The role is based in Karlstad, involving daily travel as well as overnight trips.

Do you have what it takes?

Are you a technically interested problem solver who is also communicative and responsible? Do you find it exciting to use advanced methods to find hidden faults and deficiencies? Then this is the right role for you!

You have:

• Technical upper secondary education or a university degree in engineering or equivalent
• An interest in technology and people
• A valid driver's license (Category B)
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

For this role, we would prefer that you already have authorizations within testing, or alternatively, experience with one of the testing methods.
