The Role

One of our unit managers has chosen to move on to new assignments, and therefore we are looking for a new unit manager for our team.

The Social Services Administration in Skinnskatteberg Municipality consists of six unit managers with different areas of focus. This position has its main focus on LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Certain Functionally Impaired Persons) and personal assistance. As we are a smaller municipality, the organization is characterized by close cooperation between the activities within the administration, which creates good opportunities for collaboration, development, and a holistic perspective.

In Skinnskatteberg Municipality, there is an LSS group home, a day activity center, and personal assistance services. We collaborate with staff in home care and our special housing units. We work together to create a cohesive social services administration.

Responsibilities

You will have budget responsibility, personnel responsibility, and occupational health and safety responsibility. You will work independently and together with your colleagues to plan, coordinate, and develop the operations for the benefit of the administration, based on current legislation, political decisions, goals, and guidelines. You will be part of the Social Services Administration's management group together with the Social Services Director and your colleagues.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • University education such as social worker, behavioral scientist, or other university education that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Experience in managerial roles.
  • Valid driver's license (Category B).

Working Hours/Duration

The position is a permanent employment with immediate start.

Interviews will be held during week 33.

In connection with the interview, you will need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of registration together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.
