F 16 is responsible for the Uppsala Garrison and the operation of Uppsala Airport. The wing is also responsible for the 24/7/365 surveillance of Swedish airspace and leads the Air Force's combat aircraft in the air. You will become part of a military organization undergoing significant change and development due to the geopolitical situation and Sweden's NATO membership. F 16 is growing, and we are now looking for new colleagues who want to join our development journey!

About the Unit

The 163rd Garrison Battalion consists of the Logistics Company, the Garrison Company, and the Training Company. Together, they create the conditions for assigned units to focus on their primary tasks. The battalion's role and tasks are evolving rapidly to meet the new challenges facing Sweden and the Swedish Armed Forces.

p>Logistics within the Swedish Armed Forces and NATO are divided into four main areas: supply, transport, medical services, and technical services.

Main Responsibilities

Your position is located at the 312th Transport and Fuel Platoon. The platoon's task is to handle cargo, manage waste and fuel, and issue Swedish Armed Forces materiel. The work can range from personal equipment to fuel for the Air Force's aircraft and other vehicles. You will contribute to ensuring that the right materiel reaches the right place at the right time – a crucial factor for both Swedish and international units to fulfill their missions.

The work is varied and may involve participation in the planning and execution of logistics operations, both within Sweden and abroad. You will work with material reporting according to current directives and systems, while also building good relationships with counterparts inside and outside the Swedish Armed Forces. As a storekeeper, you will become an important part of a cohesive team where logistics is more than just transport – it is a central and society-sustaining function. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Providing logistics support to the garrison's own units as well as national and international visiting units.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing cargo.
  • Participating in the battalion's mobilization work.
  • Conducting reporting of supplies in the Swedish Armed Forces' reporting system.
  • Conducting cargo transports within and outside the garrison.
  • Supplying materiel to units and observers on overseas service.
  • Handling materiel.
  • Maintaining vehicles and handling equipment.
  • Maintaining contact with customers and suppliers.
  • Participating in other activities and tasks within the company, where flexibility is a natural part of daily life.
  • Contributing to the development of logistics solutions within the Air Force and the Swedish Armed Forces.

As part of the position, you will have the opportunity to undergo various training courses depending on the operational needs and your suitability.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Completed upper secondary education.
  • Category B driver's license (manual transmission).
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.

You are organized, responsible, and comfortable working in an environment where conditions can change quickly. Merits

  • Current experience in logistics or storekeeping.
  • Previous experience working in the Swedish Armed Forces.
  • Current experience in administrative work.
  • Current experience in service work.
  • Military service certificates.
  • Category C, CE driver's licenses.
  • Forklift license.
  • ADR certificate.

Employment Type: Permanent employment, with a 6-month probationary period.

Working Hours: Primarily daytime, evening and weekend duty may occur during operations, activities, or as needed.
