As a Specialist Preparation (Preparatory Engineer) at our client within the marine defense industry, you will work more preparatory and become a key link between design and production. You plan and create the prerequisites for efficient manufacturing, while collaborating with several technical functions and contributing to the development of both processes and working methods. As a Specialist Preparation at our client, you work in both new construction and modification projects. You create work orders based on production data and plan for efficient production execution within the production facility's capabilities and processes. The completed preparation is handed over to production, and when it is time to start manufacturing, you provide support during the startup phase. Your daily work involves several cross-functional interfaces, and your day-to-day routine includes, in addition to continuous coordination with production staff, often dialogue with Technical Preparers, Production Technicians, and also Designers.

In your role as a Specialist Preparation, you have broader knowledge at the interface between design and production. This means you can perform standard preparation tasks, but also create production adaptations of 3D data, assist with trial assembly, and implement various types of improvement initiatives.

• Have a few years of experience from the manufacturing industry, for example within production, machining, production engineering, assembly, or other technical manufacturing activities.
• Have a post-secondary education in a relevant technical field.
• Are experienced in reading and interpreting technical drawings and production data.
• Have a good understanding of manufacturing processes and how products are translated from design to finished manufacturing.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is not necessary, but meritorious if you have:

• Experience in preparation, production planning, or production engineering work.
• Experience with CAD, 3D data, or other digital tools used in a production environment.
