Driven by seeing your ideas come to life? Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world.
Your Role
As a Vehicle Technician at Saab, you will become part of a knowledgeable and engaged team working with advanced underwater vehicles. We work with both Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) and Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV). At our site in Tannefors, Linköping, we are responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and testing of these vehicles. We work closely together in a dynamic environment where collaboration and technical curiosity are central.
In this role, you will primarily work with the maintenance and servicing of the vehicles according to assignments. This can take place both at our site and out at customer locations. Our vehicles undergo regular service intervals, where you will be part of identifying and rectifying any faults, updating systems, and ensuring that the vehicles are in top condition before they are delivered back.
The workplace will be in Tannefors, Linköping. The work also involves some travel, where you will have the opportunity to work directly on-site with customers and operators of our vehicles. Here, you will get a unique insight into how the systems are used in real-world environments and the opportunity to contribute with your expertise.
Your Profile
We are looking for a technology-interested and driven person with experience working with electrical and mechanical components. We would like you to be accustomed to working with electrical systems and able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings. As a person, you are responsible, engaged, and a true team player. At the same time, you are self-reliant, take initiative, and enjoy working independently when the situation requires it.
To succeed in the role, we also see that you have the following qualifications:
- Upper secondary education in electronics or equivalent.
- A few years of work experience in maintenance and service - preferably within electronics.
- Good computer skills and the ability to communicate well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
Meritorious qualifications:
- Soldering certificate and experience in soldering.
- Category B driver's license.
Due to current holiday periods, your application will be processed starting in August, but you are warmly welcome to apply now!
The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
