Your Role

As a Service Technician, you will be part of our first-line support organization. The support organization works partly with maintenance of underwater systems on-site at the customer, and partly with maintenance performed in our own workshop in Linköping.

You will also be a key part in supporting and disseminating information to the rest of the support organization, which works with studies, investigations, and maintenance concepts.

The main responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting of systems/subsystems, both in operational and workshop environments
• Plan and perform preventive maintenance in accordance with current maintenance concepts
• Perform corrective maintenance
• Evaluate fault reports in consultation with the team to decide on immediate actions and contribute ideas for long-term measures
• Contribute valuable experience from operational operation and handling of underwater systems to support our development unit, both regarding modifications and new development.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in training sessions aimed at spreading competence both for personnel within Saab and for customer personnel.

The work is primarily based in Linköping, but regular travel occurs, mainly within Sweden. Working hours are during the day, but variations may occur.

Your Profile

We would like you to be used to tinkering, either at work or in your spare time.

We see that you have:

• Good ability to read and interpret technical information
• Several years of workshop experience, preferably with an electronics focus and elements of troubleshooting
• Good knowledge of the Office package
• Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken

• Experience in development or maintenance of complex technical systems, such as underwater systems
• Experience in maintenance that includes upgrades with new software

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
