As a logistics soldier, you transport supplies as part of the unit's logistics support. You should have good teamwork skills, be in good physical shape, and be able to handle periods of stress. The recruiting unit, Baskompani Mark, belongs to the 1st Marine Base Battalion, part of the Marine Base. The battalion's task is to provide logistics support to marine units both on land and at sea. This is done with a high degree of mobility and with own protection and rations. The battalion is growing, and we are now recruiting soldiers to Baskompani Mark. We are currently recruiting GSS/K (Group Commander, Soldier, and Sailor Continuous Employment) for the following positions:
Logistics Soldier
As a logistics soldier, you are part of a group tasked with transporting supplies to all parts of the battalion. The category of supplies includes, among other things, ammunition, fuel, and food. To carry out these tasks, we use vehicles such as heavy trucks, forklifts, wheel loaders, and more. As a soldier in the base battalion, your role will not be limited to your main duty; you are also expected to be able to defend yourself, your equipment, and your comrades together with your group. You must also be able to move material and resources over long distances on land, and your work must be able to proceed in all types of weather and light conditions.
Escort Soldier
As an escort soldier, your task is to protect and escort logistics units during movement and operations. The duties include guarding, ensuring accessibility, handling security threats, and maintaining readiness to enable safe and efficient logistics transport. The work is carried out in groups and platoon sizes. To solve their tasks, the platoon uses the Terrängbil 16 (Off-road Vehicle 16).
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Passed military basic training with at least the grade JA-2-2 and comprising at least 9 months of training time.
- Completed position-specific training for the applied position or equivalent competence deemed suitable by the employer.
- Ability to act as a security guard.
- Valid and approved FM FysS basic requirements for the applied service.
- B-driver's license.
- C-driver's license (for Logistics Soldier).
Personal Qualities
You are a responsible, driven, and engaged person with a sense of service. You also have good teamwork skills and are proactive, while being able to work both independently and in various group settings. As a person, you are orderly, have the ability to distribute work, and are confident in working in an environment where conditions can change quickly. For the agency's mission to be successful, it is assumed that all employees act according to the existing code of values. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Worked or completed conscription (passed) as a logistics soldier, base security soldier, or security guard.
- Ability to drive heavy trucks with trailers and perform trailer changes.
- ADR basic, explosive, and tank certification.
- Forklift and/or crane operator certificate.
OTHER INFORMATION
Employment Type: The employment as GSS/K is based on the law (2012:3329) on certain Swedish Armed Forces appointments. This means a probationary period of 6 months, followed by employment for up to 6 years with the possibility of extension for another 6 years.
Employment Level: Full-time
Rank Level: Military position OR 1-5.
Work Location: Karlskrona, travel is part of the job.
Start Date: By agreement.
As an employed soldier, there are career opportunities to further educate yourself as a group commander. After completing GBU (Group Commander Training), you can apply for and complete specialist officer training or officer training.

The Marine Base's overarching task is to support marine units with logistics in the form of transport, basing, guarding, and medical care, both domestically and abroad. The Marine Base is headquartered in Karlskrona but operates where needed, for example in Berga/Muskö south of Stockholm and in Gothenburg. Other major tasks for the Marine Base include monitoring Sweden's 2,700 km long coastline and territorial waters.
