About the Company

104th Base Security Company provides higher command with situational awareness regarding security-threatening activities within the operational area of the 1st Marine Base Battalion. The company is sized to detect and intervene against a qualified adversary on land and in the archipelago. 104th Base Security Company belongs to the 1st Marine Base Battalion, which is one of the standing combat units of the Marine Base. The mission of the Marine Base Battalions is to provide logistical support to naval units from land and at sea, both within the framework of regular operations and deployments. We are recruiting GSS/K (Group Leaders, Soldiers, and Sailors) for the following positions:

• Security Soldier
• Boat Driver
• Handler (Dog)
• SUAV Operator

Main Responsibilities

As a soldier, you will serve with one of the company's platoons and be part of a security or reconnaissance patrol. Your task, together with the other patrol members, is to gather information or intervene against security-threatening activities using various methods and combinations of sensors.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Approved conscription service (at least JA-2-2) or equivalent military basic training
• Approved according to Fmfyss. Field Test 10:15, 10km in 48min, Multitest: 300pts, swimming 400m, and lifesaving
• Category B driver's license
• Normal color vision
• Not allergic to dogs or afraid of dogs

Personal Attributes

As a person, you are responsible, meticulous, and have good initiative. You have good teamwork skills and can work both independently and in various group constellations, sometimes for long periods under stress. You are a humble person who can adapt to emerging situations and easily switch between different tasks. You are meticulous, have a structured work approach, and the ability to change pace when necessary. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

• Previous service in security, ranger, or reconnaissance units
• RPAS/SUAV training
• Handler training
• Small boat training
• Military driver's license

Interview and Tests

After an initial selection, applicants will be invited to interviews and selection tests. The following will be conducted on selection day:

• 10km run
• Muscle strength (step-ups 25kg, pull-ups, deadlift, dips)
• Security clearance interview

Employment type: The employment as GSS/K is based on the law (2012:3329) concerning certain Swedish Armed Forces appointments. The position is a soldier position according to the Swedish Armed Forces' collective agreement for group leaders, soldiers, and sailors (GSS/K) and begins with a 6-month probationary period, which transitions into an employment of up to 6 years, with the possibility of extension for another 6 years.

• Work location: Karlskrona (Rosenholms Udde)
• Full-time employment
• Start date: 2026-10-05 by agreement.

Tests and interviews will be scheduled subsequently and are planned for 2026-09-04.

The overall task of the Marine Base is to support naval units with logistics such as transport, basing, guarding, and healthcare, both domestically and abroad. The Marine Base is headquartered in Karlskrona but operates where needed, for example in Berga/Muskö, south of Stockholm, and in Gothenburg. Other major tasks for the Marine Base include monitoring Sweden's 2,700 km long coastline and territorial waters.
