Do you want to cook delicious and nutritious meals for children while being part of a warm and dedicated preschool? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

Skogsbyn Preschool is looking for a substitute cook for the autumn term of 2026. The position is part-time with the possibility of extra hours in the children's group if needed.

About the Position

As a cook, you are responsible for planning and preparing nutritious and tasty meals for our 22 children. You are also responsible for ordering supplies, self-control checks, dishwashing, and ensuring the kitchen remains clean and well-organized according to current food safety routines.

If needed, there is an opportunity to work extra in the children's group, meaning you will become an important part of our entire operation.

We are looking for someone who

• loves cooking and enjoys creating food joy for children
• is responsible, structured, and independent
• has good knowledge of hygiene and food handling
• enjoys collaborating and contributing to a positive work environment
• is flexible and willing to help out where needed.

We do not require formal chef training. What matters most to us is that you have a genuine interest in cooking and want to make a difference for the children every day.

It is an advantage if you:

• have previous experience cooking at a preschool or school
• have worked in a children's group or have experience working with children
• have knowledge of special diets and allergen-free food.
