At Komatsu Forest, you become part of something bigger. You become part of a context where technology, innovation, and sustainability meet, and where your contribution is visible in reality. Together with approximately 160 engineers and specialists, you develop tomorrow's forestry machines in an industry that plays a vital role in a sustainable society.
We offer a work environment where knowledge is shared, ideas are valued, and long experience is combined with curiosity and modern technology. Here, we work close to both the product and reality – from idea to finished machine in the forest – while being a global organization with international collaborations.
Your new role We are currently looking for an Electrical Designer 24V for our R&D department. Here, we continuously work on developing our products and solutions, bringing together competencies in design, technical and software development, testing, customer adaptations, and project management – all under one roof.
As an Electrical Designer in our R&D department, you will:
- Design and develop electrical systems (24V) for both new and existing machine models
- Work through the entire product development chain, from concept to finished product
- Be part of cross-functional projects where you collaborate closely with other specialists and departments, e.g., mechanics, software, and production
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and measurements in the field to verify the functionality of the electrical systems
- Create electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Size and select electrical components
- Support production and aftermarket in technical matters
Who are you? We are looking for you who have a technical education in electrical/electronics or mechanical engineering, such as a university degree, master's degree, or from a university college. You also have experience in electrical design, preferably within vehicles, mobile machinery, or industry, as well as knowledge of electrical schematics and electrical systems (12/24V). Experience with control systems, CAN, or troubleshooting of electrical systems is meritorious but not a requirement.
As a person, you are collaborative and thrive working cross-functionally in a role with many different interfaces. You are engaged and enjoy finding new solutions. You are also analytical and curious, with the ability to work in a structured manner.
Since a large part of our work involves both national and international interfaces, you communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
What do we offer? In R&D, we offer you a team-oriented approach where we support and learn from each other and solve problems together. Here, you also have the opportunity to work in a modern and high-tech environment where your ambition and drive are valued. We also offer the possibility of a secure and varied working life in a large and stable organization with a long history, where you help create our future!
