The Municipal Consortium of Hälsingland (KFH) is a consortium within the municipalities of Bollnäs, Ovanåker, and Söderhamn that, on behalf of the member municipalities, is responsible for the Southern Hälsingland Rescue Services.

The Southern Hälsingland Rescue Services is now seeking employees to strengthen the preventive operations. Your tasks will be varied and encompass the full range of preventive work performed by a rescue service. You will work with supervision according to the Act concerning Emergency Preparedness and the Act on Dangerous Goods, as well as handle referrals to other authorities and actors. The work also includes information and advice to the public, as well as conducting fire safety training. Adjustments to tasks can be made based on your competence and background.

Since January 2023, the rescue services in Hälsingland have had a joint management of preventive tasks. As part of the joint preventive group, you will have great freedom under significant personal responsibility. There will be opportunities for competence development within the preventive field, and you will have the chance to drive various projects – both preventive and linked to operational activities – as well as participate in the development of routines and guidelines within the preventive cooperation.

Qualifications

• Upper secondary education with relevant further education at the college, university, or university college level. This could be, for example, SMO (Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency training), building inspector, building engineer, or similar. The employer may also assess that other education or experience relevant to preventive fire safety work is suitable.
• You must have excellent command of Swedish in both speech and writing.
• B-driver's license.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and communicative. You have the ability to plan, structure, and take personal responsibility to drive your processes forward. At the same time, you work well in collaboration with others and can convey your knowledge of fire safety in a pedagogical manner.

Great importance will be placed on personal qualities such as the ability to take initiative and work independently, while also having an easy time collaborating with others. Since the work involves many external contacts, you need to be able to express yourself well in speech and writing. We also value pedagogical skills, as the preventive operations include external training.

Merits

We consider it highly meritorious if you have any of the following: Fire Engineer degree, Supervision A and B (or equivalent), or experience in working with preventive fire safety and authority enforcement.

Other experience related to authority enforcement can also be meritorious. This could, for example, be authority enforcement and supervision within the Planning and Building Act or the Environmental Code.

Location

The primary placement will be at our full-time station in Söderhamn. Since January 2023, the rescue services in Hälsingland have had joint management of preventive tasks, which means it may be possible to work certain days from other locations in Hälsingland according to agreement.
