Do you want a key role where you make a difference every day for both passengers and colleagues? We are now looking for engaged and solution-oriented Traffic Controllers who want to help ensure a safe, punctual, and high-quality traffic delivery.
We are now hiring Traffic Controllers for our operations in Uppsala. The position starts in mid-September, where you will become an important part of the preparations for the traffic launch on November 1st. You will get a unique opportunity to help build a well-functioning traffic control center and create good conditions for the operations.
Location: Uppsala.
As a Traffic Controller, you are responsible for operational operations in real-time. You are the natural contact point for our drivers and work closely with customers, traffic authorities, and colleagues to ensure that operations run smoothly, even when conditions change rapidly.
About the Role
In the role of Traffic Controller, you have a clear operational focus. You lead and distribute traffic in real-time and are responsible for ensuring that the right resources are in the right place at the right time. You work proactively with traffic control, deviation management, and resource planning to ensure high quality, safety, and punctuality.
No day is like another, and you thrive on making quick decisions, prioritizing under time pressure, and finding solutions when unexpected situations arise.
The position involves irregular working hours, as operations are conducted for large parts of the day.
Your Responsibilities
Among other things, you will:
- Lead and manage daily traffic and depot operations.
- Handle traffic disruptions, vehicle faults, and other deviations to minimize impact on passengers.
- Plan and replan traffic and optimize vehicle and driver resources.
- Ensure that traffic delivery meets agreed requirements for quality, safety, and punctuality.
- Provide operational support to drivers during ongoing shifts.
- Maintain ongoing contact with traffic authorities, customers, and other external parties.
- Document and report deviations, incidents, and operational failures.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the operations organization and other depots.
Your Responsibility and Authority
As a Traffic Controller, you have the authority to make operational decisions within established guidelines. This includes, among other things:
- Leading and redistributing traffic during disruptions and delays.
- Prioritizing vehicles and resources in case of capacity shortages.
- Deciding on route changes, pauses, or suspension of traffic for safety or operational reasons.
- Ensuring that drivers follow current safety regulations and traffic rules.
- Handling near-misses and accidents and collaborating with police, rescue services, and other relevant actors.
- Providing data and follow-up for customers, clients, and internal functions.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who have
- A Category B driver's license.
- Upper secondary education, preferably within logistics, transport, or a similar field.
- Good computer skills and experience working in various IT systems.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience in traffic control, operational operations, transport management, or scheduling.
- Experience from the passenger transport industry.
- A Category D driver's license and/or taxi driver's license.
- A valid Professional Competence Certificate (YKB).
- Experience with traffic control or logistics systems.
