The Culture and Leisure business area includes the library, the swimming hall, the support staff, and Preventive Youth (Bubblan). The swimming hall in Vårgårda is commonly known as "the pool". The pool is centrally located in the Centre House, just a hundred meters from the station. Here, everyone can swim, from infants to the elderly, school classes, and fitness enthusiasts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you will have a varied and active job focused on service, safety, and customer interaction. You will work closely with our visitors by staffing the reception, being present in the swimming hall, and contributing to a safe and pleasant environment.

We are looking for you who are, or wish to train as, a swimming instructor, baby swimming instructor, and water aerobics instructor. You enjoy working with people, like movement, and appreciate that no workday is the same as the next.

The operations run every day of the week with working hours scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply must have good swimming skills; you need to be able to swim at least 200 meters. You have good physical fitness and are capable of performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), lifesaving, and first aid. You must be able to work in a noisy work environment with high humidity.

It is meritorious if you have swimming instructor training, training in CPR and/or water lifesaving, or other equivalent training. It is also meritorious if you have experience from a similar position. Since we are a small work group, we assume that you enjoy working in a team.

A swimming test will be conducted prior to employment, as well as a request for an extract from the crime register, as work with children is involved.

Personal suitability is given great importance during recruitment. Due to summer holidays, interviews will be held in week 33.

A probationary period of up to 6 months may be applied.
