We collaborate with other internal teams, such as UX and testing, to complete the chain from data, through model development and system development, to application, based on the organization's needs.

The Data and Analytics Platform Unit is now looking for a Backend Developer who wants to contribute to the development of information solutions to support data-driven decision-making within Västra Götaland Region.

In this role, you will work on developing and maintaining data solutions that support the organization's analysis and decision-making processes.

Your Mission

You will be part of a development team (system developers) that enables follow-up, planning, control, and analysis by making healthcare information accessible within VGR. The team is responsible for collecting and integrating data, modeling and structuring it, and creating the basis for analysis through high data quality and information security.

Your main tasks include modeling, transforming, and structuring data, as well as developing customized solutions. We work in teams using agile methods, continuously improving our solutions together.

To succeed in the role, you need:

• A university degree in IT or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in system development within the BI/analysis field
• Experience working with information solutions in complex environments
• Good programming skills in MS SQL, including SSIS
• Experience designing and building tabular models in SSAS
• Experience in system development within larger organizations
• Good ability to communicate both in writing and verbally in Swedish
