The Data and Analytics Platform unit is now looking for a Senior Backend Developer who wants to contribute to the development of information solutions that form the basis for more efficient and secure handling of data and information within Västra Götaland Region. Our goal is to ensure that information is available at the right time for the right person and is of such high quality that it helps us improve operations through AI and other analytical methods.

Your Role

You will become part of a newly established development team (system developers) that enables monitoring, planning, control, and analysis by making information accessible in VGR. The team will primarily be responsible for managing and developing solutions within data and information governance, to ensure high data quality and information security.

Your main tasks include modeling, automating, transforming, and structuring data. You will also contribute to developing and following development standards, data models, and technical solutions. We work in teams using agile methods where we continuously improve our solutions together.

To succeed in this role, you need:

• A university degree in IT or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in system development within the BI/analysis field.
• Experience with information solutions in complex environments.
• Experience with data virtualization.
• Experience in developing and maintaining data catalogs.
• Experience working with metadata.
• Strong programming skills in MS SQL, including SSIS.
• Experience in system development within larger organizations.
• Good ability to communicate in writing and speech in Swedish.

• Is curious and interested in staying updated on the latest technical trends and solutions in the field.
