About the Role
On behalf of our client, Maxitech is recruiting a Software Service Engineer for an international technology company within warehouse automation. The company develops and integrates systems that streamline customers' warehouse flows, from implementation to operations, support, and further development. The position is based in Gothenburg and belongs to a department that works closely with customers on support, troubleshooting, and improvements of existing solutions. You will work at the intersection of software development, technical support, and customer contact, with a focus on ensuring stable and efficient systems over time. On-call duties are part of the role and occur approximately every fifth week. This is a consulting assignment for approximately 8 months. If the collaboration goes well, there is an expectation that you will be hired directly by the client.

Responsibilities
As a Software Service Engineer, you will work with support, troubleshooting, and further development of the customer's software solutions. The role involves close collaboration with both customers and internal teams, focusing on ensuring that the customers' facilities operate stably and efficiently over time. Examples of responsibilities:
- Work with technical support and troubleshooting in customers' system environments.
- Analyze logs, transactions, and system behaviors to identify causes of problems.
- Participate in testing, integration, ramp-up, and handover from project to support.
- Specify, estimate, implement, and test changes in customers' systems.
- Verify that new versions and changes work in the customer's facility.
- Maintain ongoing customer dialogue and understand the customer's needs and priorities.
- Work with change management and improvements in existing facilities.
- Conduct customer visits when necessary.
- Work with some development and coding, primarily related to changes, troubleshooting, and further development.
Coding is part of the role, but the extent varies over time. The role also consists of customer contact, support, analysis, testing, and technical problem-solving. The technology environment may include: Java, SQL, log analysis, system integration, warehouse automation systems.
Your Profile
To succeed in this role, you need a genuine technical interest and a desire to work with more than just programming. This role suits you if you enjoy understanding the big picture, analyzing problems, and working closely with customers in complex technical environments. We are looking for a candidate who has:
- Post-secondary education in fields such as IT, system development, automation, computer science, or similar.
- Programming skills, preferably Java.
- Understanding of databases and SQL.
- Interest in system development, troubleshooting, log analysis, and technical problem-solving.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal colleagues.
- A service-oriented and solution-focused attitude.
It is an advantage if you have experience with:
- System integration.
- Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other database environments.
- Work in complex operational or system environments.
Other Information
- Start: As agreed
- Scope: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Location: Gothenburg
- Working hours: Office hours and on-call duties according to schedule
- Salary: As agreed, with on-call compensation in addition to base salary
On-call duties are included in the role in the long run. During the initial period, you will receive an introduction, mentorship, and the opportunity to gradually learn the working methods before on-call duties become relevant.
