Responsibilities

The Student Health Services (Elevhälsan) in Åre Municipality is a municipal and cross-professional operation that, through its efforts, promotes the health and development of children/youth, and supports students' development towards the school's goals.

School nurses, school counselors, school psychologists, school doctors, and study and career counselors work within the operation. Working with us means you will have an exciting and challenging job where you will have the opportunity to be involved in developing student health services at the individual school and in the municipality as a whole. Åre Municipality's counselor group meets regularly for collegial collaboration and supervision.

As a school counselor, you are part of the school's student health team and constitute a significant part of the student health work. The work is primarily preventive and health-promoting at the individual, group, and organizational levels. You will work with tasks such as conversations and support for students, education, supervision, consultation, social assessments, and support for guardians and staff. Your assignment also involves collaboration with other authorities, primarily social services and psychiatry.

Qualifications

• Graduate Social Worker (Socialsekreterare/Socionom)
• Experience in psychosocial work with children, young people, and their families
• Basic psychotherapy training

Employment Terms

Employment Type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-10 or as agreed.

The position is vacant subject to no redundancy, need for reassignment, or precedence within the municipality. An extract from the criminal record must be submitted before the position can be started. Probationary employment may apply.
