About Civil West

The Civil West division, with approximately 250 employees, is part of the Infrastructure business area, which currently holds a strong market position. We build and develop future environments for work, living, and infrastructure, carrying out various types of earthworks, road, and civil engineering projects in the region.

The Role of Tender Engineer

We are looking for an engaged Tender Engineer specializing in earthworks who wants to contribute to the infrastructure of the future. In this role, you are responsible for cost calculations of our projects, from request for proposal documents to the final tender. You work closely with production and other specialists to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions.

The work includes quantity take-offs, pricing and scheduling, request for quotations, as well as the selection of technical solutions and methods up to a final calculation. Additionally, it involves risk and opportunity analyses from technical, economic, environmental, occupational health and safety, and legal perspectives. Depending on the size and complexity of the projects, you will be responsible for one or several tenders simultaneously. Once the project is awarded, you will participate in kick-off, follow-up, and handling of any changes. Great emphasis is placed on knowledge and experience sharing, as well as challenging traditional working methods.

A large part of our projects is carried out in close collaboration with the client, making you an important part of the team working on tendering, budget calculations, and planning in early stages. Sometimes you also act as support during the production phase.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a civil engineering education or equivalent experience. You have several years of experience in earthworks and have worked in roles involving calculations, project economics, or similar tasks, possibly as a Project Engineer or Contracting Engineer.

You are analytical, detail-oriented, and used to working within clear timeframes. Since you often participate in meetings and collaborate with both clients and colleagues, you need to have good communication and relationship-building skills. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and hold a valid driver’s license (Category B). It is a plus if you have experience with both earthworks and concrete projects, as well as experience working with BIM software.

Further Information

The position is a permanent employment, located at our office in Gothenburg or Uddevalla. The position is subject to background checks in accordance with NCC’s security culture. We work with security-classified projects in the division. We apply a probationary period.
