About Us

The Medicines Unit is the region's hub for pharmaceutical affairs. We drive and develop work with evidence-based, cost-effective, and patient-safe medication use throughout Region Blekinge. Our assignments cover clinical pharmacy/ward pharmacy, knowledge support, training initiatives, follow-up, steering documents, procurement, hospital pharmacy, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Today, we have a total of 23 employees – including two clinical pharmacists – who work together to strengthen the pharmaceutical sector in the region.

About the Job

As a clinical pharmacist with us, you will have a central role in the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy in Region Blekinge. There is an opportunity to influence content and working methods together with colleagues and healthcare units. Clinical work within both inpatient and primary care may become relevant.

Depending on your previous experience and the region's needs, you may also work with other assignments within pharmaceutical support, e.g., information and training assignments, participation in the knowledge management organization and therapeutic group work, and contribute to good medication use throughout the region. You will collaborate with pharmacists and other professions within the Medicines Unit as well as other parts of the healthcare system in Region Blekinge.

About You

We are looking for you who have a pharmacist degree or a Master of Science in Pharmacy and a pharmaceutical license. A Master's degree in clinical pharmacy – or documented experience in medication reviews – is meritorious. You who have started master's studies, or studied advanced pharmacotherapy and clinic-oriented pharmacy and wish to complete the education, are also warmly welcome to apply. If documented experience equivalent to a Master's degree in clinical pharmacy is lacking, it is important for our operations that the education is completed within four years from the start of employment.

The position requires good language skills (both written and oral) in Swedish and English, as well as good computer skills. It is meritorious if you have experience working within Swedish healthcare. We see that you have the ability to collaborate in teams with several different professional groups while also being able to work independently. Being quality-conscious, taking responsibility, and making decisions with good judgment are important qualities for the position. You have an easy time driving work forward and are goal- and result-oriented. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Other Information

The position is located in Karlskrona, but work at other locations in Blekinge may occur, which is why a Class B driving license is meritorious.

Region Blekinge mobilizes all permanent staff in the event of war. Some of our positions are security-classified, requiring the employee to undergo a security clearance interview and register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
