Do you want to work close to urban planning and contribute specialist knowledge in a planning process where stormwater, heavy rainfall, and ground conditions are crucial? In this role, you will prepare important decision-making materials for a new detailed development plan in an area where future development needs to be weighed against runoff conditions, the need for retention and purification, and impact on the surroundings.

You will join an assignment where both stormwater investigation and heavy rainfall investigation are central parts of the planning process. You will also be an important support in dialogues regarding how the detailed development plan can be designed in an executable and sustainable way. This is an exciting opportunity for you who want to combine analysis, advisory services, and concrete impact in a complex planning case.

  • You prepare a stormwater investigation according to current guidelines and checklists.
  • You conduct a heavy rainfall investigation that serves as a basis for the suitability and executability of the detailed development plan.
  • You build a heavy rainfall model with a resolution of maximum 2x2 meters and take into account the capacity of the pipes.
  • You analyze future runoff conditions and propose solutions for retention, purification, and heavy rainfall management.
  • You advise on elevation and propose measures and regulations that can support the detailed development plan proposal.
  • You coordinate your work with parallel geotechnical and environmental technical investigations.
  • You contribute to discussions on possible protective measures and how consequences can be reduced.
  • You present conclusions in coordination meetings and deliver reports and map data in requested formats.
  • You complement and deepen the investigations during the planning process and assist as needed with materials in connection with appeals.
Requirements
  • You have experience from previous assignments involving stormwater investigations.
  • You have experience from previous assignments involving heavy rainfall investigations.
  • You have a good ability to produce technical investigations as a basis for detailed development planning.
  • You can provide qualified advice on elevation, stormwater management, heavy rainfall management, and appropriate protective measures.
  • You can produce written reports in PDF format.
  • You can deliver map data in SHP format and, if necessary, in DWG format.
  • You work systematically and can present used standards and uncertainties in your calculations.
  • You can collaborate with other technical disciplines within urban planning.
