About Civil West

The Civil West division operates in civil engineering in Gothenburg, Northern Halland, Älvsborg, and Bohuslän. The work covers the entire chain, from design and construction to production within ground and civil engineering projects. We have approximately 250 employees and are divided into four production areas and one specialist group.

The Role of Tendering Engineer

We are looking for an engaged Tendering Engineer with a focus on concrete who wants to contribute to the infrastructure of the future. In this role, you are responsible for cost calculations of our projects, from request for proposal documents to the final tender. You work closely with production and other specialists to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions.

The work includes quantity take-offs, pricing and scheduling, request for quotations, as well as the selection of technical solutions and methods up to a finished calculation. Additionally, it involves risk and opportunity analyses from technical, economic, environmental, occupational health and safety, and legal perspectives. Depending on the size and complexity of the projects, you are responsible for one or several tenders simultaneously. Once the project is awarded, you participate in the kick-off, follow-up, and handling of any changes. Great emphasis is placed on knowledge and experience sharing as well as challenging traditional working methods.

A large part of our projects are carried out in close collaboration with the customer, making you an important part of the team working with tendering work, budget calculations, and planning in early stages. Sometimes you also act as support during the production phase.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a civil engineering education or equivalent experience. You have several years of experience with concrete work and have worked in roles involving calculations, project economics, or similar tasks, possibly as a Project Engineer or Contracting Engineer.

You are analytical, meticulous, and accustomed to working against clear timeframes. Since you often participate in meetings and collaborate with both customers and colleagues, you need to have good communication and relationship-building skills. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have a Category B driver's license. It is a plus if you have experience with both ground and concrete projects and if you have worked with BIM programs.

Additional Information

The position is a permanent employment located at our nice office in Gothenburg. The position undergoes background checks in accordance with NCC's safety culture. We work with security-classified projects in the division. We apply a probationary period.
